Who we are
Glaral (glaral.com) is a free website where people share business ideas and vote on them. This page explains what personal data we use and why. Contact: hello@glaral.com.
What we collect
- When you sign in with Google: your name, your email address and your Google account ID. On ideas, we show only your first name and the first letter of your last name.
- When you post an idea: the idea name, pitch and category, and the contact email you enter.
- When you vote, unlock or report: your choice, the idea it was for, and the time.
- On your device: a random key that lets us count a guest vote once, and browser storage that keeps you signed in. We do not use tracking cookies.
How we use it
We use your data to run the site: to sign you in, show your ideas, count votes, apply the limits (3 ideas a day and 5 email unlocks per 7 days), and keep the site safe from spam and abuse. We do not sell your personal data. If we add ads or analytics in the future, we will update this page first.
Who can see what
- Everyone can see an idea, its category, and the first name and last initial of its owner.
- Signed-in members can see vote counts, and can unlock the contact email of an idea owner (up to 5 per 7 days).
- Only you can see your own account email. Other members never see it unless you put the same address on an idea.
Where your data is stored
Our database and sign-in service is provided by Supabase and is hosted in Seoul, South Korea. The website is delivered by Netlify. These companies process data for us under their own terms.
Your choices
- You can delete any idea you posted with the Delete button. This also removes the contact email you gave for it.
- You can sign out at any time and clear your browser storage.
- To ask us to delete your account and data, or to ask what we hold about you, email hello@glaral.com.
Ideas are public
Anything you post as an idea is public. Do not post secrets, private data about other people, or anything you cannot risk others seeing.
Age
Glaral is not meant for people under 18.
